Job Overview: To act as management representative and site continuous implementation leader Responsible for the TS, CI activities and Quality initiatives for Center. 2. Principle Accountability: Understand and support strategy from top management Develop, measure and monitor department metrics Identify & achieve appropriate PIPP/ICP objectives Department objectives Optimize department productivity Plan, Control/Monitor effective and efficient utilization of resources Monitoring of shift timings Monitor the quality checking of drawings Develop on time, in-budget products that satisfy customers Co-ordinate between various departments (Purchase, Finance, HR, Training Etc.) Ensure timely submission of AR and ER Plan, Control/Monitor the budget forecast and variance Maintain positive external and internal customer satisfaction Monitor quality systems Monitor quality metrics of product groups Implement common quality initiatives across groups and businesses Share best practices across business unit Implementation of six sigma Arrange/Co-ordinate six sigma trainings for center Identify, select and execute six sigma projects Implementation and Sustenance of TS To ensure the processes needed for the quality management system, are established, implemented and maintained. To report to the management about the performance of the quality management system and discuss about any improvements required in the management reviews To promote the awareness of customer requirements throughout the organization To prepare the mandatory Quality system procedures To monitor and implement the necessary Quality system procedures across the Center. To maintain the audit calendar and to conduct audits. To provide / coordinate training on the TS 16949 requirements such as Internal Quality Audit training , DFMEA & PFMEA, MSA & SPC according to the Center’s requirements. Site continuous implementation leader Prepares, executes, revises and measures progress on the Site Continuous Improvement Plan Facilitates continuous improvement interventions and employee involvement teams throughout the site and within the supply community; may support other complementary sites Identifies opportunities to implement common processes and best practices from other sites and businesses; Disseminates and acts upon relevant industry and corporate benchmarking data Assures that process improvements and benefits employ visual management and that actions are driven to closure and sustained while being made visual to stakeholders Assures that predicted savings are tracked, validated and posted to the site’s operating results Provides leadership, coaching and training in lean thinking, lean processing and lean production Take initiative and ownership Take the lead Understand and deliver on the responsibility (self, functions, business units and customers) Set good example Meeting effectives Start and finish meetings on-time. Education / Experience: Bachelor in Engineering / Science (Diploma Holders considered if accompanied by relevant experience and / or outstanding achievement).
