Position Title: HR Assistant
Reports To: HR Manager, Technical & Shared Services, India
Organizational Unit: ArvinMeritor
Location: India, Bangalore
Salary Grade: 2-3

Overview
Assists HR Manager to develop the company culture in ARM TSSC India which supports business goals and objectives through organization and people development, HR system & process upgrading and employee engagement.
Implements HR policies and procedures regarding recruiting, staffing, training, performance management, communication, and etc to achieve high employee morale and organization effectiveness in TSSC.

Principle Accountability
Assists HR Manager & HR Specialist to do people planning and coordinate staffing process. Responsible for overall recruitment strategy, tactical action plans, searching channels, interviewing techniques and compensation and benefits offering processes.
Maintenance of Employee Training records
Assists HR Manager to overseas the performance management system.
Assists HR manager to review and improve policies and procedures for continuous improvement and compliance with government laws and regulations.
Assists HR Manager to facilitate employee communication, such as preparing and consolidating presentation materials for all employee meetings and host the meetings, designing employee communication boards, and etc.
Coordinates employees’ survey and facilitate each department to develop and implement action plans.
Maintain Employee information and records timely and accurately.
Maintain employee personal files confidentially and completely.
Proactively promotes ArvinMeritor HR programs to support organization and people development
Maintains good relationship with local labor departments to have updated information of labor laws and regulations.
Supports HR manager to deal with all types of HR issues
Supports HR manager to champions and supports plant Health & Safety programs, CI HR elements

Experience/Education Required/Sought
2 years experience in a HR staffing role at multinational companies in India
Bachelors’ Degree in related discipline or MSW.
Good knowledge of India labor laws and regulations
Strong interpersonal skills.
Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and relationships.
Strong communications skills in English. (For local Languages if Applicable)
Strong PC skills
Strong in MIS and analytical skills
Exposure of Peoplesoft application
