KCA visits Orphanage of HIV Children

Bangalore, Mar 14:
"Whatever you have done unto one of the least of these my brethren, you have done it unto me". True to the spirit of Lenten season, the members of Konkan Catholic Association Bangalore and its youth wing KEY (Konkan Ekvotit Yuvazan), took some time off to visit the HIV infected/affected children at Deena Nilaya near Kothanur at the outskirts of Bangalore. This shelter for the HIV AIDS affected kids is run by the sisters of Servants of Poor order. Around 21 members arrived at the place, with a truck full of supplies such as rice, oil, grams, clothes, beds and other essentials donated by KCA.

The KCA members had wonderful time with the children with both sides singing songs for each other. Some of the inmates also displayed their talents by performing filmy dances and thereby entertaining the visiting guests. Later the Mother Superior took the members around and showed various facilities available, explained their mission and also meeting some inmates who were severely affected by the dreaded disease.

Later in the afternoon, the members bid adieu to the Mother Superior wishing them good for their work for the destitute. The members then joined for a lunch with a great relieving experience and memories to cherish.
