Get-Together 2009

Bangalore, Dec 20: Rajajinagar Konkani Catholic Welfare Association (RKCWA),
organized Christmas Get-Together to members and their families on 20th December
2009, at the Indian Institute of Spirituality, Rajajinagar, Bangalore.
At 5 PM with deep faith and
devotion every body assembled in the Church. Holy Mass in Konkani was
concelebrated by Rev. Fr. Richard Francis D’Souza, Rev. Fr. Edwin Cyprian Colaco
and Rev. Fr. Joachim D’Souza. Our youth choir with their melodious singing
multiplied our devotion in the Liturgy. In his homily Rev. Fr. Joachim explained
us the true meaning of Christmas.
After the Mass all of us moved to the auditorium for Christmas Celebration. Vice
President Mr. Francis Lewis welcomed the gathering. The audience virtually
traveled to Bethlehem with joy when Mrs. Hazel Rebello & group followed by Mrs.
Meena Menezes & Group followed by Miss Frenita Lewis & group followed by Mr.
James Fernandes & group followed by Mr. Denis D’Souza & group melodiously sang
Konkani carols.
Children started singing "Jingle Bells" and were pleasantly surprised to see
Santa Claus entering the auditorium. Parents enjoyed the shouts of joy and
wonder by their kids. Children danced around Santa, fascinated and awe struck by
the jolly old man in red and held out their hands for the chocolates and gifts.
Every one present started singing "Happy Christmas Tumka" and Rev. Fr. Edwin
Cyprian Colaco cut the Christmas cake and all enjoyed the cake, wine and
delicious Kuswar. Kuswar was sponsored by Mr. Paul Castelino & Family.
Every one present enjoyed the melodious Konkani Hits sung by our talented
members and their kids. Secretary Mrs. Albina Vaz proposed vote of thanks.
