RKCWA Rajajinagar Celebrates Elder's Day

Bangalore, Jun 9: Rajajinagar Konkani Catholic Welfare Association
conducted Elders Day on 31st May 2009 at Sadbhavana, Rajajinagar, Bangalore. Day
started with Mass in Konkani at 9am. Mass was concelebrated by Rev Fr Archibald
Gonsalves, Rev Fr Richard Francis D'Souza and Rev Fr Maxim Periera. Choir was
led by Mrs Albina Vaz.


After the mass we all enjoyed
traditional Mangalorean breakfast. All the participants were traditionally
welcomed by our Gurkars Mr Avid D'Souza, Dolfy D'Cunha, Denis D'Souza, Titto
John D'Souza and Lionel Menezes.
Rev Fr Archibald Gonsalves enlightened us on importance of positive attitude in
the family. Rev Fr Richard Francis D'Souza spoke on efficient and effective
communication in the family. Dr Moses Charles D'Souza spoke on Health is Wealth
and Mr William Crasta spoke on Finance Management through Self Confidence.
In the afternoon we all enjoyed traditional Mangalorean lunch.
Mrs Rita D'Souza and team entertained us with Ovyo. Mrs Juliet Lewis and team
made us dance with old Konkani songs and Mrs Albina Vaz and team made us laugh
with innovative games.
Programme was anchored by Mr John Louis Cunha. Programme came to an end at 4pm
with vote of thanks by Mr Santosh D'Mello.

Congratulations!. It is wonderful to note that your Association has taken this
step of conducting an event for the Elders. They are our foundation on which the
community has a name and identity. Continue doing this great work and may God
bless all the members who have contributed wholeheartedly for this event.

"ELDER'S DAY" being celebrated is something wonderful. It is something that
should be continued and would recommend that it should be done elsewhere as
well. It was great to be a part of such a day and honor to be amongst the
organizers there. A word of thanks to all the priests who were there to Bless us
with their prayers on this day. |
