KE Global Launched to unite
Kanara entrepreneurs across the globe
New development will be an effective platform to encourage new entrepreneurs
and promote opportunities
Dubai, UAE, April 15, 2009: The board of directors and lead members of
the Dubai and Bangalore chapters of Kanara Entrepreneurs met in Dubai today
(April 15th) to discuss the possibility of bringing all the entrepreneurs from
our community under one common network in order to provide entrepreneurs from
the Kanara region an effective platform to foster entrepreneurship.
The formation of ‘KE Global’, to which all existing and new chapters the world over will be affiliated, will help in initiating collaborations with all other organizations having similar objectives as well as start new chapters with likeminded entrepreneurs in different locations around the world so that there is effective promotion of entrepreneurship and mutually beneficial opportunities among individuals of our community.
The MoU to establish KE Global
was signed by the current Presidents of the two chapters – Mr. Charles Gomes on
behalf of KE Bangalore and Mr. Albert Rodrigues on behalf of KEL Dubai. The
members unanimously elected Mr. Ivan Fernandes as the Chairman of KE Global. The
other members nominated to the KE Global board are Mr. Albert Rodrigues, Mrs.
Shobha Mendonca and Mr. Oswald Soares from the Dubai Chapter and Mr. Charles
Gomes, Mr. Mark D’Souza and Mr. Anil Rego from the Bangalore Chapter.
Mr. Ivan Fernandes, who has been instrumental in setting up the organization in
Dubai in the year 2004 and the Bangalore Chapter, said that this was a historic
moment for all the entrepreneurs hailing from the Kanara region. “Kanara-ites
are a minority community with a very small percentage opting for
entrepreneurship. For the development of our community, we need to encourage and
support all our existing and potential entrepreneurs and to do so we need a very
strong and influential network,” he pointed out.
“KE Global has been established at the right time and we have already approached
likeminded entrepreneurs in other locations for setting up similar chapters in
their own countries while collaborating with other similar chapters to ensure
that a strong network of entrepreneurs is established,” Fernandes added.
