KCA UK organizes the Christmas Boom
United Kingdom, Dec 27: KCA UK organized the Christmas Boom in Manchester on 27th of December 2008 at the
St.Margaret Church Hall. This was an other occasion for KCA UK for succesfully creating an other opportunity
for the people to get-to-gather and share the joys of Christmas amongst one another.
The programme commenced with the fire works and the entire
celebration was led by two main celebrants Mr.Santosh Joseph Sequeira and Mrs.Lainet Pinto. On behalf of KCA
Mr.Santosh Sequeira and Mrs.Lainet Pinto welcomed the gathering. Mr.Santosh Sequeira gave a brief introduction
to the gathering and ignited the spirit of Christmas celebration in the hearts of the assemblage. The events
began with calling upon the stage the couple who had a child less than one year old. Mr.Vinod Barboza and family
were the only couple amongst the gathering who were qualified in this event.
The celebration continued with the coming of the Santa Clause who had brought lots of joy to the children with
his dance to the carol Jingle Bells and by handing over his Christmas gifts to the children. Santa further
entertained the children by dancing with them.
Carols were sung by Frewin Pinto and Melisha Barboza. Both of them
were given the special gifts for their contribution of the day by Mrs.Reshma Lobo and Mrs.Renny Buthello. Mr.
Stany Rodrigues & Mr.Ravi Pinto continued the function by organizing the dance and games for the children.
Riana Buthello entertained the gathering with her dance. KCA called upon the stage the people who had celebrated
their birthday in the last week and whose birthday was on that day. Mrs.Anitha D'silva, Mrs.Reena Pinto, Ms.Fiona
D'silva, Ms.Riana Buthello, Master Arnold Gomes, Mrs.Diana Lobo were greeted for their belated birthday's on
behalf of KCA and also handed over to them the roses. Mr.Santhosh Pinto the president of KCA also wished them on
this occasion. Mr.Vikas and Mrs.Sophia who had their 10th wedding anniversary on this day was also greeted by the
President of KCA Mr.Santhosh Pinto and the Editor-in-chief Mr.Raj Francis Pereira of Konkanifriends.com.
The programme further continued with the dance by Ms.Rachael D'silva. The gathering were further entertained by
an other group dance by Mrs.Lainet Pinto, Mrs.Reena Pinto, Mrs.Nisha Kedia, and Mrs.Arshiya Pereira. Mr. Ravi
Pinto and Mr.Stany Rodrigues conducted various games for the adults. Mr.Ronald Lobo and Mr.Vinod Barboza kept up
the spirit of the gathering with their hilarious skit. A break for dinner was given where delicious food was
served to the gathering. Yet the gathering was so supportive and joyful that they continued to keep the
celebration on with the couple dance. The entire function was made vibrant by the DJ. Mr.Ronald Lobo. Mr.Santhosh
Sequeira welcomed back the gathering soon after the dinner time.
Raffle tickets were sold to the gathering whilst Mr.Santosh Pinto
gave the vote of thanks. He thanked all the people who made this event a successful one. He also thanked the
sponsors Mrs.Marina Monis & Mrs. Diana Monis of Warrington, Mrs. Reshma Lobo of Carlisle, Mr.James Ravi Pinto of
Liverpool, Mr. Brazil Gomes of Bristol, Mrs. Suma Manoj, Mrs.Lainet Pinto, and Mr. Alwyn Buthello, Mrs. Chalotte
Barboza, Mrs. Monica D'Almeida of Manchester for their generous contribution.
Mr.Ronald Lobo and Mr.Vinod Barboza organized the Christmas Gift Hamper draw. Mr.Kenneth Desa and Mr.Brazil Gomes
picked up the raffle tickets separately where Mr.Praveen Kumar and family and Mrs.Anita D'silva and family won
the Christmas gift hampers for the year 2008.
The entire function concluded at 10:30 PM with the Dance. KCA team members have thanked everyone in a special way
for all their support during the year 2008 and continued to hope for the same support in the years to come.
